Shantel Pointer - Head Coach
I have been coaching basketball for 8 years and am entering my third season as the Head Coach of the Lady Wildcats. I am a proud Plano Senior High alumna, I and feel honored to give back to the school and community that gave so much to me.
As a player, I earned a full basketball scholarship to Wichita State University, which was an experience that shaped my passion for the game and desire to help young athletes reach their full potential. Basketball is about much more than wins and losses to me, so I center my coaching philosophy around developing confident, disciplined, hardworking young women who understand the value of teamwork, leadership, accountability, and perseverance both on and off the court.
When I am not coaching and teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, listening to music, and self-care outings.
I am very proud to continue building the Lady Wildcat program alongside an amazing staff, and I look forward to helping each player grow as an athlete, a leader, and a young woman.

I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma where I played college basketball. I have been coaching and developing student athletes for over 15 years. I have a wife and 3 kids that keep me busy outside of teaching and coaching. I'm excited about his year!
